Type	Description & Risks
Insurance Company	The most reliable seller type. Vehicles are sold after an insurance claim payout. Usually sold "as is" — without hidden repairs or defect masking before being listed on the insurance auto auction.
Dealer (Reseller)	Sold by an intermediary. Warning: High risk of poor-quality pre-sale repairs (cosmetic cover-ups) to conceal actual damage. An independent inspection is mandatory.
Rental Company	Vehicles from rental fleets. Often repaired at the company's expense (Self-Insured) without being reported to databases.
