What Documents Are Required to Export a Vehicle?

Every vehicle is sold with a specific ownership document. The type of document determines whether the vehicle can be exported and registered in the destination country — not all documents are valid for international export.

For export, the vehicle must be accompanied by a valid Certificate of Title. Before purchasing, verify the document type listed on the lot and check the legal requirements of both the destination country and the US state where the vehicle is located.

Export is not possible if the Documents section of the lot shows: BOS / Bill of Sale / Lien / Parts / Junk / Scrap.

If the vehicle does not have a valid title, Carfast Express can assist with obtaining the necessary documentation — the cost ranges from $50 to $650 depending on the documents available.

For additional information on document requirements, contact the DMV in the state where the vehicle is registered.
