What Are My Next Steps if I Win the Auction On the Minimum Bet/On Approval?
Participants in a "Minimum" or "Approval" auction are waiting for the seller's decision. The seller must review and either accept or reject the participant's bid.
After a "Minimum Bid" auction ends, the seller has until 20:00 Pacific Time (PT) within one business day after the auction closes. During this period, the seller may accept the bid, decline it, or submit a counter-offer.
After an "Approval" auction ends, the seller also has until 20:00 Pacific Time (PT) within one business day after the auction closes to make the same decision.
While the bid is under review, the buyer may:
- accept the proposed minimum bid;
- leave the current bid as is;
- increase the bid by one increment if it is not yet at the maximum.
On the auction website, the buyer can increase their bid or accept the seller's counter-offer.
Important: the buyer is obligated to purchase the vehicle if the seller approves their bid during the review period.
